A fake Rendez-Vous Star is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous watch that carries a star motif on the dial and was not made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. The genuine watches sit in the Rendez-Vous collection, a women's line the Le Sentier manufacture introduced in 2012. Counterfeits of this line sell in three price bands, and each band fails different checks.
One note before the details. Jaeger-LeCoultre does not list a model named "Rendez-Vous Star" on its current site. Sellers use the name for Rendez-Vous references with a star on the dial or a star-set case. Ask for the reference number first. If the seller cannot give one, stop.
